To those who have been checking back over the weekend and wondering if we would ever be able to follow up our trip to Niagara Falls, the answer is yes.
We got home from the falls, got on the motorcycle, and took off for the Peoria, IL area so that Duke could spend the weekend wakeboarding with our friends Nacho and Denacho. We spent pretty much the entire day on Saturday on the river. I got to soak up some sun and take a lot of photos and Duke got to fall into the water at a high rate of speed many many times. I'm told that this is fun.
Unfortunately my camera battery ran dead before Duke started attempting the really crazy stuff, like 5 tries at a 360 in a row, but I did get a few shots of him falling. Nothing as awesome as the Famous 540, but fun to watch nonetheless.
Here is Duke:
And here is Nacho, the person Duke wants to be when he grows up:
After the wakeboarding, Denacho and I ran to La Bamba's for burritos as big as our heads, and we watched The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on this giant outdoor movie screen that they built facing the river so that friends can boat in to watch.
Have you ever been to an outdoor movie that stops barges? I have. It rocked.
Oh, and a sidenote: If you spoke to my father recently and he referred to us as being away from home because we were "waterboarding", I promise he meant wakeboarding. I'm pretty cruel to Duke, but not quite THAT bad.

So, did you even get in the water or are you still holding out?

Get in the water? Are you crazy? I can't even swim!

The movie screen would rock. Add that to the homemade ski ramp you will have the ultimate set up.
