At work this week, I've been preparing for a Home Show that I'm doing in February. Last year, I spent 3 solid days at this show, standing on concrete floors in high heels and smiling nonstop. But those of you who knew me well enough to listen to my whiny complaints, you remember my real problem last year. My booth was set up directly across an aisle from a guy selling telescoping flagpoles. He had a demo unit and he spent 3 solid days just putting his flagpole up and down and up and down and up and down and touching it and extending it and putting it back down and smiling.
So finally, on the last day of the show, I told him that I had been trying to explain the idea of a telescoping flagpole to my friend RunAway and she didn't understand, so could I please take a video? Flagpole Man looked straight at me and smiled and extended his big pole. That night, I emailed the video to Run and we laughed and laughed and laughed. She just reminded me of this video, so I'm going to share:

Oh, and of course my parents bought one. The demo unit. They got a good price because it had been manhandled throughout the entire home show.
