So we had a bit of a party this weekend, and it appears that a few of you have stopped in looking for photos.
We celebrated the Bears victory over the Patriots in the 1986 SuperBowl, thanks to the magic of DVD and clothes from Goodwill (and in some cases, our own closets). We had a house full of Bears fans and one lone Patriots fan named RunAway! who flew in for this event. Because we're that awesome.
The night started with hairstyling. Run helped Duke with his feathered look, and the sheepish blush in this photo may or may not have had something to do with a crack about getting a blow job. I'm not sure. You be the judge.
We put up the living room bleachers for this party. Here is what they look like when full. This is less than 1/4 of the guests. We are pretty sure we have a good understanding of the capacity of our house, which is good to know.
Minica had a great time.
The board that she is standing in front of was our football pool. Yes, we bet on a 22 year-old football game. We sold squares on this big chart, everybody filled in their names, and then the scores were filled in randomly by drawing cards from a deck. One person won quarters 1 and 2, a different person won quarter 3, and Wrecks won the final competition, which was the midpoint of quarter 4 (since most guests remember the final score, we used the halfway point). Yes, the dog won. Here he is, enjoying his winnings, which were laced with cheese in order to stage this photo.
Duke started a fire in the pit in the backyard around midnight and that's also about the time that his alcohol consumption exceeded his common sense. Exhibit A:
After everyone had left and Marc had crashed for the night, Duke, Run and I hit the hot tub, where we played Truth or Truth until 4:30 am.
Waking up to this party mess was much more fun than any other party mess we've ever had. Seriously, how can you not giggle at this?

Not that I want to rub it in or anything.
Go Yankees.

Instead, drop and give me 20. I'd say the same to Dukie Howser - but he could only give me 18. And that was with the "don't ask don't tell" military rules.
